To mark the final week of Canaletto’s Venice Revisited at the National Maritime Museum, we have teamed up with Royal Museums Greenwich for a spectacular night of Italian art, food and culture.
The evening will begin with a private view of the exhibition, which brings together the Italian artist’s complete set of 24 Venetian views from the Woburn Abbey Collection.
After taking in Canaletto’s landscapes, a drinks reception with classic Italian treats in the Queen’s House will follow.
And last but not least, enjoy a special screening of Welcome Venice in the Great Hall - prized for its geometric marble floor. Directed by Andrea Segre, this evocative film uncovers the lives of two fishermen brothers, whose livelihood is under threat from Venice’s rising tide of tourists.
