Summer 1975. A 13-year-old girl with a suitcase in one hand and a bag of shoes in the other knocks at an unknown door. She has just lost everything by being returned to a family she didn't know she belonged to: a comfortable home, her closest friends, the unconditional love of her parents – or rather the people she believed to be her parents.
Against a backdrop of major cultural and social changes, a journey of growth and discovery begins for l'arminuta - the returned girl.
